About the House
WiFi / Internet Details
We offer free WiFi to our guests. To access the network, use the network name and password listed on the refrigerator, or simply tap your phone on any of the “Connect to Wifi” stickers located throughout the home.
Heating and Cooling
Around the house, you’ll see thermostats to adjust the heating and air conditioning. Feel free to adjust the temperature to your liking. To switch between heating and air conditioning, push the “M” button on the side of the thermostat until the LED is blue for AC or red for heating.
Fire Pits
Your home includes access to wood-burning fire pits. Firewood is provided! Please be mindful of our neighbors when enjoying the fire pit in the evening. Sound travels across the lake very well, so we ask that you keep your voices low and music off once quiet hours start. Thank you!
Fire Place
For safety and insurance reasons, the upstairs fireplace is not available for use. Downstairs, you’ll find a gas fireplace that you’re welcome to use!
To turn it on, ensure the pilot light is on, open the grate under the fireplace, and flip the switch to on. For more detailed instructions, check out this video here. If you have any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Appliances
Dishwasher
Individual detergent pods are located beneath the sink. Place one in the soap drawer, adjust the settings to your liking, press start, and close the door.
Laundry
Detergent pods and dryer sheets are located downstairs in the laundry room area. Place one detergent pod directly in the machine with your load of laundry and adjust the settings as you wish.
Hardware and Technology in the House
Your home is pretty smart. It has lots of technology to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
This includes modems, satellite TV receivers, Internet range extenders, noise sensors, smart locks, exterior cameras, smart hubs, and more.
Removing any hardware may result in an inability to use the door lock, losing the Internet or TV, and more. Guests are not permitted to remove any device without permission of Pocono Lodging Company.
Note: As per our Rental Agreement, we use exterior security cameras. There are no interior cameras whatsoever.

Trash and Recycling
Inside the home, you’ll find a trash can for your use with spare bags under the sink. Please remember that bears are common in the Poconos and will get into any trash that is left accessible. Here are three things you can do to keep curious bears out of the garbage.
Remove ALL edible food from your car. (Bears know how to open doors)
Secure the rubber strap on the trash can each time you take the garbage out.
Clean out the grease trap on the BBQ the same night you use it.
To dispose of any full bags, you’ll need to use the garage door opener on the wall in the dining room. There are larger trash bins in the garage across from the driveway, you’re welcome to use!
Maintenance and Housekeeping Concerns
If something is not right when you arrive, or any issues arise during your stay, please inform us promptly so we can rectify the problem. We also ask that you inform us of any accidents or damage that occurs so we can act promptly to ensure the home is in good condition for the next guests.
Similarly, if there is anything you need during your stay to make you more comfortable, or if you need a piece of kitchen equipment that you can’t find, please let us know, and we will try to accommodate you. We can’t make any promises, but we will do our best.
BBQ
Your home is equipped with a BBQ for your use.
If you wish to use the BBQ, please be mindful of these guidelines:
A set of BBQ tools can be found in the kitchen.
You are responsible for cleaning the BBQ after use.
If the propane runs empty, please let us know, and we can swap it out for a full one.
Please put the cover on the BBQ once it has cooled after use.
If you are unfamiliar with the operation of the BBQ, please ask for instructions.
For safety, be mindful of young children while using the BBQ and while it is still hot after use.
Happy cooking!
