About the House

We offer free WiFi to our guests. You can connect to it using the following information:

Heating
Around the house, you’ll see thermostats to adjust the heating. Feel free to adjust the temperature to your liking.
Fire Place
A gas fireplace is there for you to enjoy in the living room. To light it, twist the control knob on the left to the “on position.” Then twist the timer knob on the bottom all the way you the left. Here's a link to a short video with more detail.
Appliances
Dishwasher
Individual detergent pods are located beneath the sink. Place one in the soap drawer, adjust the settings to your liking, press start, and close the door.
Laundry
Detergent pods and dryer sheets are located next to the washer and dryer downstairs in the basement. Place one detergent pod directly in the machine with your load of laundry and adjust the settings as you wish.
Hardware and Technology in the House
Your home is pretty smart. It has lots of technology to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
This includes modems, satellite TV receivers, Internet range extenders, noise sensors, smart locks, exterior cameras, smart hubs, and more.
Removing any hardware may result in an inability to use the door lock, losing the Internet or TV, and more. Guests are not permitted to remove any device without permission of Pocono Lodging Company.
Note: As per our Rental Agreement, we use exterior security cameras. There are no interior cameras whatsoever.

Sleeper Sofa
Your home has a sleeper sofa in the living room. Linens, pillows, and blankets are typically found in the mudroom next to the kitchen. If you can’t find it, or need additional linens, don’t hesitate to let us know.
When the bed is open, please take care NOT to sit on the edge of the bed, as the metal frame is susceptible to being bent.
Games
Many homes feature a variety of fun, (mostly) family-friendly games. The selection of games varies by house, but you might find a poker set, Taboo, Scrabble, Cranium, Cards Against Humanity, and other classics for adults and kids.
Trash and Recycling
Inside the home, you’ll find a trash can for your use with spare bags under the sink. Please remember that bears are common in the Poconos and will get into any trash that is left accessible. The trash bins are located in the garage.
Maintenance and Housekeeping Concerns
If something is not right when you arrive, or any issues arise during your stay, please inform us promptly so we can rectify the problem. We also ask that you inform us of any accidents or damage that occurs so we can act promptly to ensure the home is in good condition for the next guests.
Similarly, if there is anything you need during your stay to make you more comfortable, or if you need a piece of kitchen equipment that you can’t find, please let us know, and we will try to accommodate you. We can’t make any promises, but we will do our best.
